Amman, 14 October 2024 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), and Mr. Waleed Al-Bahar, Acting Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), signed a memorandum of understanding to support the treatment of Syrian refugee cancer patients at KHCC.
Commenting on this cooperation, Princess Ghida said: “We are proud of our valuable partnership with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and appreciate their humanity and unlimited generosity, which helps save the lives of cancer patients.”
The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Hamad Rashid Al Marri, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Jordan, H.E. Ms. Zeina Toukan, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of KHCF, and Dr. Hikmat Abdel-Razeq, Deputy Director General and Chief Medical Officer of KHCC.
This is the seventh MOU between KHCF and KFAED. To date, KFAED has covered the treatment costs for 399 Syrian refugee patients at KHCC.
