Amman, November 2024 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), signed an agreement with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID(, represented by H.E. Mr. Miguel de Lucas González, the Spanish Ambassador to Jordan.
The agreement will support the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP) and KHCF’s efforts to improve access to early detection services for women, and to raise awareness about breast cancer and cervical cancer through workshops for healthcare providers, awareness sessions, and home visits. It is expected to reach out to 58,000 women in various governorates across Jordan.
Princess Ghida stated: “We greatly appreciate this partnership with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, which will play an important role in saving the lives of thousands of women in Jordan”.
In turn, Ambassador González highlighted the crucial and reliable action that JBCP and KHCF are doing at a national level to raise awareness not only for early detection of breast cancer among women but also to promote positives changes and reduce risk factors associated with cancer and other chronic diseases.”
