Amman, February 2017 - Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah, Prime Minister His Excellency Dr. Hani Mulki opened the Global Healthcare Travel Forum in which HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center (KHCF/KHCC), delivered the opening speech at attended by leaders and decision-makers in the health and tourism sectors from 35 countries.
HRH Princess Ghida said: “Driven by the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the healthcare sector in Jordan has flourished beyond measure. KHCC has transformed into a world-class institution with cure rates comparable to international standards. Since the establishment of its Bone Marrow Transplant program, 1350 transplants have been performed with success rates similar to those of global cancer centers, making KHCC a source of pride and hope for Jordan and the Arab world.”
Dr. Asem Mansour, KHCC Director General, participated in a session at the forum entitled “Excellence in Cancer Treatment.” Also, Ms. Nisreen Qatamish, KHCF Director General, chaired a session on healthcare marketing and medical tourism.
Also, a delegation from the Forum participants visited KHCC’s new expansion today where they toured the facility and were briefed on the international standards of comprehensive cancer care provided to patients at KHCC.
