Amman, March 2018 - Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), welcomed a delegation from the Khaled Al-Hassan Cancer and Bone Marrow Transplant Center in Palestine at KHCC. A meeting was held to discuss areas of cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two centers in order to support the development of the Khaled Al-Hassan Center.
The Palestinian delegation was headed by HE Tayeb Abdul Rahim Mahmoud, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Presidency and Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Khaled Al-Hassan Cancer and Bone Marrow Transplant Center, with the presence of HE Dr. Jawad Awwad, Palestinian Minister of Health and Vice-Chairman of the Khaled Al-Hassan Center’s Board of Trustees, as well as other members of the Board of Trustees, HE Dr. Mohammed Ishtayeh, Chairman of the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECDAR), HE Mohamed Mostafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF), Mr. Munib R. Masri, and Dr. Netham Najeeb, Head of the Palestinian Doctors’ Syndicate.
The delegation toured the buildings of KHCC, where they were briefed on the latest technical and medical specifications adopted in establishing the Center and the level of cancer care in Jordan, including treatment, prevention and awareness services provided by KHCC to its patients from Jordan and the Arab world.
