Amman, November 2016 – Under the patronage of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Amman Chamber of Commerce. As part of KHCF’s Naming and Recognition Program, the Chamber will donate funds to name the Emergency Triage Unit in the main reception area of KHCC. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Chamber by Chairman Senator Issa Haidar Murad.
Princess Ghida expressed gratitude for this cooperation, stating, "I thank the Amman Chamber of Commerce for their generous support and continuous commitment to the fight against cancer. The solidarity of individuals and institutions is essential to ensuring that we can continue to save our patients and provide them with the best chance for treatment."
Senator Murad emphasized that the Chamber's donation reflects the contributions of its members from the commercial and service sectors, who are dedicated to supporting public health as part of their national role in building the country. He noted that the fight against cancer requires collaborative efforts beyond what governments or civil society organizations can achieve alone.
