Amman, October 2016 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), welcomed Olympic taekwondo champion Ahmad Abu Ghosh to KHCC in a visit aimed to uplift the spirits of patients at the Center.
Ahmad Abu Ghosh spent quality time with the children, showcasing taekwondo moves and presenting them with gold medals as a token of their bravery in battling cancer. He also visited adult patients to check on their well-being.
Princess Ghida expressed her pride in Abu Ghosh’s international achievement, stating, "I thank Ahmad Abu Ghosh for his generous visit. The determination and resilience that led him to Olympic victory are the same qualities our patients exhibit daily in their fight against cancer."
Abu Ghosh shared his feelings about the visit, saying, "I was deeply moved by meeting the children at the King Hussein Cancer Center. They are the true champions, facing their challenges with incredible courage and strength."
The visit was attended by Dr. Asem Mansour, Director General of KHCC, and Ahmad Abu Ghosh’s coach, Mr. Fares Al-Assaf.
