Amman, August 2016 – Under the patronage of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), the Diplomatic Ladies Association for Charitable Works hosted a charity event in support of KHCF/KHCC, raising over JD 100,000.
In her opening remarks, Princess Ghida expressed gratitude to the association for organizing the event, stating, "I am honored to be here among supporters and friends, united by a common goal: to stand with cancer patients everywhere and to show them that we are resolute in our fight against this disease. We will not allow cancer to intimidate or terrify us anymore; we will continue this battle until cancer is a thing of the past."
The event was attended by numerous diplomats and over 500 guests, featuring a unique fashion show by the renowned designer Hany El Behairy, showcasing the evolution of fashion from the Pharaonic era to the present day.
The event's diamond sponsors included the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Jordan, Mrs. Ghada Bilbeisi, Arab Orient Insurance Company, and ABC Bank.
