Amman, January 2019 - HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), honored the recipients of the KHCF Journalist Award, which is dedicated to spreading awareness on tobacco control and early detection of breast cancer.
HRH Princess Ghida addressed all journalists in her speech, stating: “I appeal to every single one of you to keep fighting against cancer with your voice, your heart and your efforts.”
KHCF launched the Journalist Award in two categories. The first category, sponsored by the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company “Jo Petrol” for the sixth consecutive year, highlights the importance of combating smoking in all its forms and the necessity of enforcing Law 47 which bans smoking in public places. The second category, sponsored by the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance for the seventh consecutive year, is dedicated to raising awareness amongst women about breast cancer and reaffirming the fact that early detection saves lives every day.
