Amman, February 4, 2021 - HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), launched a national campaign to promote cancer awareness and prevention on the occasion of World Cancer Day, which takes place annually on February 4.
The national awareness campaign encourages Jordanians from across the Kingdom to adopt healthy habits, including undergoing early detection screenings, quitting smoking, following a healthy diet and exercising. In addition, this year’s campaign focused on the importance of being proactively health-conscious by subscribing to the Cancer Care Insurance program (CCI).
As part of the campaign's efforts to engage the community through virtual activities, the KHCF created the website www.challenge.khcf.jo. This online platform enables individuals and companies to participate in the campaign and choose their preferred challenge in order to contribute to increasing community awareness on the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, and making choices that play crucial roles in cancer prevention.
