The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) is the largest community-based organization in Jordan dedicated to combating cancer. KHCF’s work focuses on fundraising and development, global and national advocacy, public awareness, early detection and prevention, non-profit cancer insurance, and underprivileged patient support. KHCF is led by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General.
KHCF is dedicated to saving lives through:
- Supporting and promoting KHCC to sustain cancer treatment with the highest standards
- Maximizing fundraising efforts to support cancer care and control in Jordan and the region
- Improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their families by providing financial and psycho-social support through various programs and initiatives
- Raising awareness and educating society members on cancer as well as supporting prevention and early detection efforts to reduce cancer related mortality & morbidity.
- Offering accessibility to treatment for the public at KHCC through a nonprofit cancer coverage program
KHCF has established partnerships with leading non-governmental organizations, national development funds and private philanthropic organizations in the region and around the world. KHCF also works to engage the Jordanian public and empower them as active participants in the fight against cancer, as well as in grassroots efforts to support the treatment of all patients in need at the Center.
KHCF’s fundraising efforts extend beyond Jordan and the region, with official presences established in the US and UK governed by independent, volunteer Boards.
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation USA (KHCF USA) is a registered 501(c)(3) organization established in 2004.
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation UK (KHCF UK) has been registered by the Charity Commission for England and Wales as a charity in the United Kingdom since December 2021.
